Half a million individuals need assistance with food each year in Houston and throughout southeast Texas.  Nearly 900,00 people live in poverty in our 18-county area (15% of the population).  One in four children in Harris County lives at or below poverty level.  On any given day, an estimated 35,000 people are hungry in Houston.  55% of the people we serve had a high school degree or higher.  Texas and New Mexico have the highest rates of child food insecurity in the nation.

Please join us in the Katy High School Commons for a delicious soup dinner and a hand made bowl.  All proceeds will go to Katy Christian Ministries Food Pantry for the Hungry.
