Here is the latest blessing to those in need, by donations from Kingdom Assignment II.

Imaging a mother fleeing for safety with her two children.  Living in a foreign country with no benefits available to registered citizens.  In your originating country you have been a teacher and a well employed office person, only to find yourself without a home and without a way to make a living.  This is exactly the story of one of the families that our special Kingdom Assignment money has been able to bless.

            Upon finding out about the dire need of this mother, the Compassion Katy Team went to work.  We paid for her to take a Texas Teachers test to allow her to legally work in the state of Texas.  We also gave her some gas cards, grocery cards and bought some school lunches for her children.  We also helped her receive some counseling to help her through this difficult time.  This devoted mother continued to work, watching children and doing any job that she could find.

            She has now passed her state test and is applying for a local school district as a teacher.  Once this happens she will be able to become a legal US citizen and have a peace in paying for her day-to-day needs.    

            With Christmas approaching, Compassion Katy checked on her needs.  Her part time work as a teachers helper will be suspended over the holidays and she was very frustrated on how to make ends meet, much less provide Christmas for her children.  Because of the generosity of so many people, we are able to bless her children with Christmas, groceries and pay for one month’s rent, allowing her peace until after the Holidays. 

            I cannot thank all of you enough – through your sacrifice, we have been able to provide some very needed relief and hope in the midst of such sad circumstances. 

            As the New Year unfolds, we are continuing to bless those in need.
