The Interface-Samaritan Counseling Center (Counseling and Educational Services from a Clinical Perspective) will give free counseling to Katrina evacuees (up to 6 sessions). Breath of Life clinic will participate in an evacuees’ relief program to extend a helping hand to our neighbors as follows:

Katrina - Louisiana, Mississippi, & Alabama

Rita – Louisiana, Beaumont, Groves, Nederland, Orange, & Port Arthur, TX areas.

Prescriptions

Katrina evacuees can obtain refills of their medication without a prescription and at no cost at local CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart and Sam's Club pharmacies under an emergency policy adopted Friday.

Evacuees should bring their doctor's prescription or pill bottle if they have either, but those who don't will be able to get prescription and non prescription drugs, except for Schedule 2 narcotics, based upon the pharmacists' best judgment. 
Evacuees should also bring IDs showing their residence in Louisiana, Mississippi or Alabama.
Those still needing a physician's prescription should call as the Nurse - 713.633.2255.

Walgreens & CVS will provide a 30 day supply (minimal or free) "essential medications" bring any Medicare/insurance info you have.  This is provided under the "emergency" law enacted.
